Last and final update: Wow, my review went from one star to five stars because of John Carlson, the GM of Frank Hyundai. He is very helpful and cares about his business. He solved all my issues and I just get the car with extra $500 rebate. He explained the whole process through email and cleared all my concerns. As a result, I submitted a credits application and I did sign a Retail Installment Sales Contract with an option to avoid interest charge if I pay it in full in two days. Two minutes, later, I provided them with check and now that contract is over. Now, I strongly recommend this dealership. Also, I recommend Omar Asad, the Internet Sales Manager. He is the best Internet Sales Manager I contacted in San Diego. I enjoyed working with him. He is clear and honest. The thing I liked about this place is that they offers the best online offers in San Diego. I did search around and I am confident about this. Do a quick a comparison and you will notice that. This is the main reason I was not happy when I lost the deal and wrote a one star review. I recommend this place even if you are far from them. The dealer discount is crazy here. No other dealer will match it. 1st Update: Now, I am in contact with John Carlson, the General Manager of Frank Hyundai. I will update this review later to be fair. Original (Short Version) Review: My recommendation after three visits to this dealership is to STAY AWAY from them. The main issue there is the management level. In my case, they did NOT honor what they were offering online and in a large sign in the front of their dealership. They tried to push me to sign a a credit application and get a finance through them even when I wanted to buy without any finance from them.
I just want to praise the wonderful salesman, Adam Allison, for helping me with all the questions I had about the Santa Fe Sport vs. the Santa Fe. You see I bought my 2002 Santa Fe in 2001 and I know things change after 15 years. I never had one problem with my 2002 but I received an e-mail from Frank Hyundai because of my VIP status, for a 2016 Santa Fe Sport, I sat on it for several days, and then I was spoken to by my higher power that it was ok to check it out. Guess what....... I came home with the bright RED Santa Fe Sport on August 10, 2016 and have not looked back. Thank you Adam for the great salesman ship and helping with all those questions. Since the Service Department always did the work on my 2002 Santa Fe, I look forward for them taking care of my 2016 Santa Fe Sport. Thank you to all the staff who worked with me, it was very pleasant and I would do it again, hopefully in another 15 years. Sincerely, Joyce Fusco PS. I live in both Baja California and in Philadelphia. My 2013 Santa Fe developed a transmission and engine oil leak. I needed to return to Philadelphia, and left my car at this dealership for repair, after waiting 2 hours to speak with the Service Manager, with whom I had made arrangements to drop off the car. It has been 8 days and they have told me nothing. My calls go unreturned, except for one return call when I was told there was no information available and that I would be called back the next day. Once again, no return call. This is my third Santa Fe and 4th Hyundai and I have never been treated like this. This speaks very poorly for this dealership and for this brand. They know I am 3,000 miles away, and choose to ignore me. I will update this review should there be any improvement in their followup, but for now I am left with little I can do. Very disappointed in Philly.

I purchased my second Hyundai from Frank Hyundai and was very disappointed in the service. I complained twice about the noise that the breaks made. I finally went to Penske Hyundai in La Mesa, and they found "abnormal noise coming from rear of vehicle when braking. Brakes out of adjustment. Shoes making minimal contact when braking causing abnormal noise". They performed rear brake shoe adjustment and fixed the problem. This had a potential of being a very serious accident. There should be no gambling with consumer safety because of mechanic laziness.
Bought a car back in March. Love it, except for the salesman allowing me to drive off without an antenna or owners manual! I was assured by the salesman and his manager, after calling numerous times and also making an appearance, that they would order me a new antenna but I would have to purchase a new manual (guess I have too).! Here it is August and no phone call no antenna no Nada! I will give 5*to Mona the Finance overseer, she is Outstanding. I will not be returning for my next car purchase next year! Treat your Customers accordingly!
Rachel K. Is by far the coolest sales rep I have ever met, she was professional and kind, informative and stuck to the deal. Would be 5 stars all for her service alone.. Unfortunately the finacial department took forever and ever due to mix ups... luckly Rachel is such a fun person to talk to the time passed by as quick as possible, she even gave some of her own lunch to my hangry brother. Overall happy and recommend asking for her. Not the typical creepy car sales people .. she will help you find the car you want!

I have purchased two Hyundai cars, neither from Frank as after shopping around I found better deals elswhere. I purchased at another dealership for over $3000 less out of pocket after rebates and a much better price on my trade in. However, after a couple of attempts at the service departments of those companies I decided on Frank in national City. The Service department is secont to none. Everyone there is top rank and I have always received wonderful service from Rebecca
Had a great experience with Mona in finance but as for the rest of the experience two thumbs down. I was promised a $50 visa gift card to come down and take a test drive. I never recieved my gift card even after numerous attempts at contacting them. I will not be returning for my next purchase as the overall experience was dissastisfying. Had I read the reviews before I went in for a test drive I would never have gone.
The people that work here do not have any customer care experience and are the manager is just as bad. From the beginning to the end of my lease I hated this place. Penskye Hyundai have way better customer service and cheaper prices too. Frank Hyundai only care about your money nothing else.
went for oil change on a late Saturday told them about a noise in the rear of my 2011 elantra confirm the noise unable to fix it needed more time car stay weekend so they can start early on Monday!! so they gave me a loaner!! went home happy!! and on Monday got my car back.......

Went to go trade my vehicle and was told nothing but lies. Was told I will receive my check within a couple of days and all I got was the run around. Please, who ever reads this... Just go to another dealer.
