Renewing my License Downtown KCMO: When i went to finalize my info before taking the picture, i asked to change my weight and she said she didnt know how. The calibration on the electronic signature pen is horrible. I never expect those electronic signatures to turn out well but this one didnt even recognize that the pen was touching the screen. My signature looks like i had a seizure, and my weight if off by 60 lbs, oh well, hopefully it gets better by 2022 when my license is up for renewal. The signage on the front of the bldg and inside the bldg is all falling apart, so you may not know where you are if its your first time going. Never thought id say this, but just go to the DMV in Raytown.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I was treated poorly by a worker and was told "I have a job to do" when I stepped out to use the restroom and came back and she was calling the person next as soon as I walked in. I was shoved to the back of the line and was disrespected. She did not care that I had things to do that evening nor that I waited for 40 minutes. Completely blown away by how they get away with treating people. She could have easily helped me out quickly when I was right there as she called the next number. Will not be returning for any reason.
I am consistently impressed by the courtesy & helpfulness of the downtown DMV staff. They have turned a dreaded errand into a pleasant experience. I have been there a number of times in the past 8 years for myself & others in my family & really appreciate how efficient & professional the staff is. Amy has helped me several times, & she is terrific. The electronics makes waiting much better than back in the old days.
The QLess feature was great and I encourage everyone to use it! I texted the number earlier while at home, and it then have me an estimate of the wait. I received regular status updates on the wait time, and so I was able to run errands until it was close to time. It was very efficient and the employees there were helpful once my number was called.
Why the h*** does this department continue to be in business?! Do you know how irritating it is to not be able to get in contact of an office that is in charge of something as important as license, tags, etc?! I have a Kansas ID and am now a MO resident, I do not want to take a day off from work and find out I am missing certain information.
These peoppe are incredibly rude. I called 8 times and each time someone would pick up and hang up the phone because apparently they are too lazy to do their jobs....pathetic. This dmv should be shut dpwn or everyone should be fired because they all have bad attitudes and treat everyone terribly.
SLOWWWWW dmv need to hire some people. One person working driver licensing. Two people vehicle registrations. PITIFUL service here. One full service station open for registrations and they let a person stand there talking on the phone at least 30 minutes now.
please re staff this place get clerks like raytown dmv. this dmv is the worst be ready to wait 3 hours and then turn out they cant help you because they always point out something is wrong or u need something else. raytown is the best dmv go there
The clerks started working 30 min later than scheduled and when I complained they asked security to eject me. Apparently the DMV at this location is ran by a private company and according to security "they are free to deny service to anyone".
Moved here from another state, registered my cats here, they lost one of my titles, and as a result denied me a missouri title. Has to apply for a duplicate title from previous state, and then bring it back in to mo dmv. Huge pain.
Went out of my way to come early, knowing it would probably be a long wait. The doors were locked and no one answered the phone, and it was 30 minutes after the DMV was supposed to open. Also, there is no free parking available.
Pam was unprofessional in her conduct. She refused to accept credit card statements from Bank. She said she only accept bank statement. Also she handed me an unofficial document and ignored what was listed on the official one.
Fatal, they made me wait for anything, I did not need asking roles and are not explained well
I have never been able to reach them on the phone -their line is either disconnected, no one picks up (and voice mailbox is full) or they have a recorded line that tells you basic info. Poor customer service.
They send you a card that says you need these things. You show up with those things. You are out of there in under 15 minutes. Bravo KC DMV, you were even super courteous and nice.
If you want to be treated like garbage for no reason by unprofessional, angry 20 year old Daria lookalikes while you renew your tags, I highly recommend this place!
Understaffed. I came here at 7:58 on Monday to get my MO license and I was out at 8:45. Coin parking. Need at least 2 quarters to get the meter going.
Super quick and friendly. Texting made it simple, was out in lest than 10 minutes. Most of the complaints are from people who came unprepared.
Very rude and impatient, no respect towards people time and today waited for 2 hours and they mention that all their servers are down

Attempting to find a place to park is almost as bad as the customer service. Missouri, you can do better at this location.
Terrible people work there. Lines are long. People are rude and the atmosphere is noisy. Avoid this place at all costs.
They do not list their hours anywhere on the website that I could find. So, FYI the hours are 8am to 5pm M-F.
Getting here is a hassle and it is always busy. For me it is worth the drive to go to Raytown.
Spent 40 minutes looking for parking at 2 on a Wednesday. Building is not labeled well.
They did a good job by reducing wait times and by allowing us to not stand in line.
