Who is not exactly climbing champion .... which is likely to make only a drive-through on the way to Yellowstone NP. I did that several times after a night in Jackson Hole WY. Quite magnificent was the sunrise with fog banks / morning mist over the lakes. A deer greeted the young travelers. A short walk on Jenny Lake along the small waterfall was also quite nice. Nevertheless, there are serious hiker / climber / groups. The passing travelers, European round travelers will presumably admiring the scenery from the car park and take pictures. Conclusion: So, if you come from the south, you should make the short Abschweif. The Rockefeller Parkway then continues through a beautiful landscape directly to Yellowstone NP. THANK YOU

Really very beautiful mountains and lakes. Unfortunately overcrowded and the infrastructure is totally designed for commercial shop here, a restaurant there - I know not to this extent from other national parks. The signage is poor and because we got a map of the park entrance, we were on our own. There is currently a lot of construction sites is therefore an entire section of the park inaccessible. If you want directly from Jackson in the park, inform yourself beforehand whether the road is passable again, because to the park entrance you know nothing of a construction site or a lockout !! This is the fifth National Park on our road trip and the first of which I am disappointed! a shame! Good thing we only scheduled one day.

"The mountains are calling... and I must go." -John Muir This is a national park that personifies that quote, and the Teton Range seems to personify what mental image people think of when they imagine mountains. Prepare a little bit to at least take a day hike up into the mountains or within the forests at the base of these peaks. While the turn out spots are indeed nice and give a grand overview, it really enriches your life a bit more to get a personal feeling for how large these landforms really are in relation to yourself. Yes, Yellowstone beckons with its entertaining views and nice scenic drives, but do take some time to enjoy some of the most scenic mountains in the USA. I was able to backcountry camp nearby Amphitheater Lake, and the howling cold winds of these mountains were exhilarating. The next morning, scrambling up to Disappointment Peak was very memorable, though recommended for those moderately experienced with hiking in the mountains. I do not have the rock climbing gear or experience to tackle the Grand Teton, but seeing the Grand from the top of Disappointment Peak was no disappointment. It has the simultaneous feeling of being a very humbling experience while also having the urge to shout as loud as possible.

By far my favorite park to go to. Beautiful, breathtaking scenery you will not find anywhere else in the world. The park does not take reservations at this time for campsites and are done on a first come first serve bases. If you are thinking of camping here, you will need to be here early to find a spot. Many of the campsites have showers (roughly $5) , very clean restrooms (bring your own hand soap and towel), and laundry facilities. Lodging is booked far in advance, so plan accordingly. Dog lovers beware, although they are allowed on leashes in campsires, dogs are not allowed in the lakes. There is a hefty fine if your dog runs and jumps in... keep them on a leash and away from the water. (My golden would not be happy with that.) Lastly, no matter how crowed... GO SEE JENNY LAKE! It is beautiful and it is worth the crowd.

Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is magnificent. If you’re going to visit Yellowstone, you might as well drive out 10 miles to see Grand Teton, too. The mountain peaks are majestic and mesmerizing. Just driving through the park alone is a great activity. There are many hiking trails throughout the park (about 230 miles total). Jenny Lake inside the park has one of the clearest water I’ve ever seen. They offer boat tours on the lake for a fee. There are many other things to do in this park including looking at wildlife, boating, canoeing, fishing, climbing and camping. The park is open 24/7 all year round. I highly suggest you get an annual national park pass for $80 that will get you into all the parks. Otherwise, the entrance fee for Grand Teton is $30 for a car, $25 for a motorcycle, and $15 for hiking or bicycle.

It is located in northwestern Wyoming a national park. The name of the park comes from the Grand Teton peaks. Grand Teton peak elevation of 4,199 meters, is the highest peak in the Teton Mountains. Grand Teton National Park on February 26, 1929 was established. It has a length of 300 kilometers of trails in the Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Lake and a park with (Jackson Lake) and Lake Jenny (Jenny Lake), led by numerous lakes. Most regional Grand Teton National Park are located in the Rocky Mountains, the natural landscape is magnificent.

The Grand Teton National Park is in Wyoming. It is approximately 310000 Acres, which include dozens of mirrored lakes perfectly reflecting snow-covered mountain peaks. For hikers, there is an endless amount of hiking trails that cut through the most beautiful Meadows filled with the most amazing flowers you ever seen. There are many different animals everywhere in the park, including elk, bear, and many large wild cats. The park itself sits just south of Yellowstone National Park, which is equally as beautiful. One day is not enough to see the park, as it is much too big, but definitely worth spending a week just looking around and enjoying nature and simplicity.

Too beautiful. Staff very attentive. Great service. Great place to stay several days. quite satisfactory infrastructure. I used the tent for the night and loved the experience. Hiking and Lake tables are great options. We saw a bear when we were at the lake.

A lovely, quaint and majestic National Park on the doorstep of its more famous neighbour Yellowstone and the town of Jackson Hole. The picturesque and scenic beauty of the Teton Mountain Range adds to the National Parks attraction. Grand Teton National Park offers various outdoor activities for the adventurous visitor including hiking, such as the relatively easy 7 mile Jenny Lake Trail, as well as mountaineering for the more hands on adventurer. Boat trip services are offered on Jenny Lake for those who wish to walk a section of the Trail but not its entirety.

Great park. It is much less crowded after the peak summer season. We did several hikes and did not see another person on the trails. There are less pullout areas than in Yellowstone so be alert for poor drivers who just dangerously stop on the highway to take a photo. Kayak and boat rentals available at Colter Bay for reasonable prices. Guided boat trips around the lake are also available. Pronghorn deer, bison, elk, moose and bald eagles can be seen throughout the park. Great food and amazing views at the indoor/outdoor restaurants at the Jackson Lake Lodge.

The Grand Teton (from the French big nipple, though those mountains look more like sharp teeth than nipples to me) is a very nice park to visit. The views of the mountain peaks from the road a really great, the summit sharp will impress you. There are quite some options for hiking and the proximity to Yellowstone National Park means you have to spend at least a day in the Grand Teton. Spotting wildlife is quite common and we were lucky enough to see a bear family at dawn after a long hike in the woods.

I was in search of a quick morning hike before I had to catch a flight at the Jackson airport, and I found it here in the Grand Teton NP! You do need to pay a day pass fee or have an annual pass to access the park, but there are many things to do here. I access from the Moran entrance, and noticed they had a gas station and convenience store,as well as showers and well-maintained bathrooms. I used the Lakeside trail which is a very easy 2.5 mile hike with amazing views of the Tetons.

The three Tetons (and Mt Moran) are spectacular and mesmerizing. Add to it the Jenny Lake and wildlife in the area, the experience is magnificent. Plan to spend at least a few days or a week in the park to enjoy its immense and pristine beauty. See the mountains, the glaciers and their reflection in the lake waters. At the same time, gaze into the vastness of the Jackson Hole and experience solitude - deep in the parks trails at a very sparsely populated area of the country.

Visiting in summer it is very busy and lots of mosquitoes this year. Wildlife scarce but the views are to die for. Take the Jenny Lake shuttle to Hidden Falls - short trip and worth it! To truly experience this park you need to be a hiker or climber. Great for families w older kids. Nice visitor center at Moose. Congested parking especially in construction areas around Jenny Lake (get there by 9:30 or no parking). Free camping in Bridger-Teton National Forest!

Wandering streams and rivers, awe inspiring majestic mountain peaks, and a variety of wildlife are part of one of the most beautiful scenic drives, hiking, biking, and camping that this great National Park has to offer, just minutes from historic Jackson Hole. If you enjoy the outdoors, there are not many places that can compete with the beauty and convenience that the Grand Tetons give you. The breathtaking views alone will make you never want to leave.

An incredible National Park with a number of activities to do in both the winter and summer months. The road to the entrance into Grand Teton is closed when it gets snowed over and the road remains closed usually until late April or May. There are a number of trails that can be hiked in the winter, nonetheless. Remember to bring snowshoes, cc skis, or a snow tired bike. Enjoy some of the most pristine scenery in the world.

Wonderful park on the way to Yellowstone. You can visit most of the places in one day. Have a round trip tarting from moose entrance, visit jenny lake boating, and drive up to signal mountain, stop in snake river overlook and teton point turnout to have better pictures. If you have more than one day you can have several hikes to see mountains, creeks, lakes and falls. You can see moose on riverside of moose junction.

Nothing less than words like majestic, awe inspiring, and mind blowing will do justice when trying to describe the natural beauty of this park. If you wanted to create the most perfect and picturesque mountain forest landscaped national park in a lab somehow, this would be the end result. Also the rangers here are great people doing great work that they care about doing. Easily one of the best places on Earth.

The scenery here is amazing! There are many opportunities such as horseback riding, scenic rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and more. The hike near Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls is beautiful and well worth it. The scenic rafting has many views of wildlife. I would recommend this for people of all ages, although you definitely need to be in good physical condition to do some hikes.

Excellent place for runaway from chaotic life. Scenic mountains and exotic locations will leave you awestruck. Colter bay is a must stay for camping and they have good deals on water rides, horse rides, bus tours. I personally enjoy kayaking on the Jackson lake which is covered by mountains on one side and forest greenery on the other side filled with peace and the chirping sound of birds is so relaxing.

Beauty beyond compare. Make sure you hike and leave the crowds behind. The hike to hidden falls and inspiration point are often crawling with hordes of tourists, and a bit over rated. I recommend doing it anyways but then continuing beyond into cascade canyon where the path levels out after some climbing. You will leave the crowds behind and be treated to mountain vistas most people never get to see.

Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River or enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. We have to comeback soon. You can follow K15 Adventures on Instagram and Facebook. Typically, remote destinations where the journey of Fishing, Kayak Fishing, Hunting, Camping is the principal goal with, some shenanigans thrown in.

We had a senior pass so the 3 extra hours and $30 fee did not sting, this is a drive through park unless you are a hiker or have a boat. If pressed for time just skip. Go out the south Yellowstone entrance and drive South on the south loop that is to the west and at Moose junction head back North to Yellowstone. There are about 100 bison in a field that makes up for the long drive.

I love this place!!! The wildlife is amazing. The hiking trails are great and not crowded. The crowds stay on the roads. There is free camping on the Ashton-Flagg Ranch Rd which run right behind Flagg Ranch. You can camp right on Snake River. There are vaulted toilets and best of all it is FREE!!! If the first one is full there are 2 more farther up the road.
