Since my daughter lives in an excellent Goodwill group home and also works a few hours a week at a Goodwill store, I am totally fine with what seems like slightly higher prices than other thrift stores. This particular Goodwill in Mt. Dora is fairly new, a free standing branch that replaced one that had been in a shopping center. If it looks closed when you drive into the access road, it is because you make donations out in front and park to go in and shop in the rear of the building. I have gone to a lot of Goodwill stores and this one measures up to the rest of them.

Prices are very inconsistent, pricing staff very petty. 2 monitors same size - one priced at $40 the other at $15. I wanted to buy the two tennis balls off of a walker, the pricing staff would not sell them separate. Other walkers were there for sale without any tennis balls on bottom. Very petty and inconsistent. General manager Mark is not like this at all, he corrected monitor issue with no problem and said they were wrong. Unfortunately he was not working at the time of the walker tennis ball issue. Why is the pricing staff more strict than the General Manager?

Everything is so overpriced for what it is. The actual store and its workers are very nice but the prices are outrageous. For example, last time I was there I picked up a dirty old coffee mug, nothing special about it, $2.00? Really?

Goodwill is awesome! I get most of my t-shirts from here. My fiance buys lots of jewelry and resells it. We come here at least once a week. Is give it 20 stars if I could. Jewelry prices are a little steep though.

Last time i was here with my gf they made an announcement in Spanish. Some A****** started yelling "this is America, speak English. I am offended". So other than that guy their new building is great.

This Goodwill store has lots of good items and great pricing. Bought equipment for a person with disabilities at a remarkable price. Needed some cleaning and disinfecting, and voila good as new! :)

The Mount Dora location is clean and well kept. The staff could be a more professional and the registers staffed more during busy hours. But I will continue to go because the value is good.
