The DMV is never a fun or exciting experience but is a necessary one. I have dealt with professional, pleasant people there before, but it never fails that at some point at every one of my visits I have to deal with Sandy. She is the stereotypical DMV employee, she treats you like a sub-human moron no matter what you are there for or how good of an attitude you try to maintain. I understand they get to deal with a lot of stupid people with a lot of issues. But that should be even more of a reason to enjoy working with the people who come in with simple requests and act respectfully. I work retail and I deal with a lot of angry, ignorant people 5 days a week; but that does not make me an ass to every person I come into contact with. Sandy is by far the most aggravating and belittling person I have ever had the "pleasure" of dealing with. It boggles me that a person such as her has held a customer/client-facing job for so long. It sucks to write such a negative review with all the nice people who work there, but Sandy is that wretched that it was a hard earned 1 star.

I am very displeased with the service we received today. We moved to Pahrump, went to the DMV to change address and renew registrations on our vehicles. The jeep was done correctly, but the gentleman who handled the motor home was not very competent. He changed the address, got it wrong even when he had the correct information in front of him and then turned around and charged the same registration fee that was on the renewal form, which was for Clark County. He did not changed the county in the system, therefore the gov, charges will all go to Clark County and not Nye County. The excuses we were given, by some very rude staff members, is he is new. Well if he is that new, then he needs to have an experienced staff person with him.

I have had bad service, but usually fairly good. Registered a new vehicle last month and was surprised how fast it was, The ladies that helped me were very pleasant.
