I love St Vincent DePaul...BUT RIGHT NOW THEY ARE BEING LIED ABOUT ON CRAIGSLIST MEDFORD.....(the "aprtm for rent" section...$525. rent )..This woman recieved help fron VSDP for rent. And this is how she is saying THANKS!! "268 Hersey St. Apt. A. This person,, in apparent collusion with the owners, JASON and TARA WIENBERG and another co-conspirator (Hugh Thompson McClay ?) are operating an ongoing criminal enterprise known as a deposit conversion scam. This perpetrator will charge $550 to rent a room in a $715 apartment and require a $550 deposit which she will immediately spend on her drug habits. When one objects to usury, she will attempt to drive you out, thereby breaking the rental agreement, at which point she is legally entitled to keep your deposit. She is not above involving St. Vincent De Paul in her machinations. The owner (JASON WEINBERG) cashes the check, kicks back the cash to RONNIE BOSS who then deposits the money to her own account. There is no escrow account for your deposit check, merely a black hole in her arm where the money go" ... . 8/20/2015 ...... .this is an OUTRAGE
I no longer support st. Vincent DePaul on their store and make donations because I realized that even though they need to make money to keep the store open and help others so they say that when people going to get clothes almost everything has an x on it which means you cannot get it so apparently st. Vincent de Paul cares more about money than they do people not only that but most of the people here have nasty attitudes so as for me I will no longer support st. Vincent DePaul or back them up
This place is awesome! I was new to Oregon the year we had such a cold cold winter (December 2013) and my electric bill in my mobile home was unexpectedly huge - over $300 for the month of December and worse for the month of January. We had record breaking cold temps. Access and St. Vincent de Paul combined paid my electric bill in full. By the time I could go to them I owed a lot. I just thank God all the time for these people and Access for the wonderful work they do.
While I appreciate the mission and cause of St. Vincent de Paul Society- which is why I continue to shop there, their prices are so often outrageous for a thrift store-many times I can find the same item cheaper online. Absolutely overpriced, the volunteers/manager are often abrasive, and the parking is horrible. But, the mission makes it worth it, and knowing that the money goes to help the homeless and less fortunate helps me feel better about their unreal high prices.
Brother and sister if you like going on here in this estor ven.y buy because everything you buy is to help poor families who have no way to pay one thousand.
They treated my children and I wonderful. So thankful for this program. They are a a true blessing for those in need of assistance or a boost until someone gets back on their feet. Thank you for all you do. And being so patient with those that are ungrateful. Great program.
One of my favorite thrift stores to shop at, especially if looking for dishes or antiques. If I donate things to a thrift store I prefer this one because I can clearly see what services they do to those in need in our community.
This place has a huge selection of gently preowned items and clothing. The staff was very friendly to my wife, daughter and I. The only negative I could note is the tight space to enter the parking area.
Met & talked with many who work there & they are amazing kind caring people The store is also wonderful Kept nice & great variety
Several services are offered to the public. I used their mail service for my mail when I spent time in town. Lovely people.
Great help for the needy and homeless. Also they pay for your license or id and they have bis passes
Thanks to St. Vincent De Paul for giving the homeless a mailing address when ICC could no longer
Good deals. Not the best place for clothing. They have good home items and large craft section.
Super nice people! What would the World do without St Vincent Depauls? Thanks for being there!
