Absolutely love grifols. The people who write terrible reviews about this place just have very little understanding about the process it takes to get your plasma to the people who need it. “the staff is slow” - Protocol is a 6/1 donor/phlebotomist ratio.. so if you’re sitting at the seats waiting to donate and you see phlebs not taking care of you, check how many people are there. chances are the ratio is filled up, or they’re just plain understaffed! it happens. “they bruised me up” - you probably have deep veins, small microscopic veins, or veins that “roll". there are multiple leads on the floor at a time who are fantastic at what they do, and if they miss, you can’t blame them. start working out. seriously. taking off that layer of fat, or helping your veins grow will help them out tons. (keep in mind it takes on average 3 months of dedicated working out to see results) “my donation took forever”- stay hydrated. you have no idea how many people come in dehydrated and take forever to donate. most will say, “but i drank so much today”... really it won’t matter. the water you drank yesterday will probably determine how fast you’re donating today. “they didn’t pay me my extra 10 dollars” - on busy days they have 400 + donors coming in, and when the donors plasma is ready, its taken to a lab in the back where samples are taken and this huge process takes place to get it ready for freezing. they have 30 minutes to get each bottle into the freezer once taken from you. put yourselves in their shoes, finish multiple bottles at a time, and don’t forget to write in an extra 10 dollars. ease up. you’ll get the 10 next time. granted, there will be mistakes sometimes. there are multiple trainees that can only perform one aspect of the 3 step plasmapheresis process on the donor floor at a time. so if someone is talking or just standing around? chances are they could be a trainee. be a little easier on them. These guys work 8+ hours a day on their feet dealing with hundreds of people with different attitudes, and have to keep a smile while dealing with adverse events. lighten up and just have a smile when they take care of you.I was a donator for a while and had an amazing time, adverse events and all. now i work for them, and just wanna say, we care about you and we are honestly trying our best.

Like every business in a small, college community where the staff is underpaid and turnover is high, there will be occasional staffing problems. Overall, they do a good job. If my math is correct, (figure $30 per average donation X 250 donations a day X 6 days a week= $45,000+ a week) and that donor money is paid out weekly and goes straight into the local economy--gas, pizza, and groceries. In all fairness, the city should be building the plasma center a covered parking garage! For a business manned and run locally by college students and recent graduates, they do a great job so I am changing my four rating to a five. Stop complaining about burnt hot dogs and remember the small part you are playing in helping patients that really need the products you are helping supply.

This is my second year donating plasma. My first year was great (2011-12) but I have been really unimpressed with my experience this year. I have found many of the staff members to be inconsiderate and to have terrible customer service. When they have made a mistake, they tend to hide behind some "rule or regulation" that would keep their actions correct rather than just apologizing. It also seems like the center has been understaffed lately. Its really irritating to me to wait for an hour and a half getting screened and then walk back in the lab to only see one row of booths filled.

I do not agree that they try to rip students off. The last time I went there was an equipment failure, my blood was not being returned to me. Even though the center was very busy that day, there was always one person beside me trying their best to make the equipment work. At last they had to give up, and I was afraid I would not get paid since technically I did not donate. They apologized for the trouble and still paid me $30 since it was not my fault! I did have to wait 8 wks because of the trouble, and I moved during that time. But if I was still in Rexburg, I would totally return.

The plasma center takes complete advantage of the poor status of college students in the BYU I town of rexburg. I went in and asked why they have lowered the pay they give you for each blood donation and they told me its because of the economy. All the other plasma centers give at least 25 to 35 dollars while the one here gives 20! I know the economy has nothing to do with the lowering of prices. They will still make profit with paying the regular payment. They just know they can take advantage and still get a steady flow of donaters.

I have been going to this center for over six years and the staff has always been great. This morning was another great experience. I was screened by Maya, she was amazing and friendly and made for a great start to a donation especially early in the morning. Then I got great help from Lance as my machine was acting up. The center can get slow at times when it is crazy busy, but they do a great job of getting people thru considering that the center is probably too small for the demand when schoold is in session.

Grifols Biomat in rexburg is the first place ive ever donated and ive been a return donor for the past 3 semesters of school. As far as plasma donation goes i believe the experience and satisfaction of the patients is the priority and i always feel comfortable and cared for as possible. If you need quick and easy cash and to fill a very purposeful need, then this is the place to go.

Not only does the work they do save lives, you get paid to donate. It may seem busy at times, but the fact that places like this exists is a blessing to those who depend on their products to live a normal life. Think about that next time you have to wait a little longer to get the money that you did absolutely nothing to earn. Keep up the good work!

Staff is usually cheerful. Movies are getting old. Center is clean and nice. Just do not wear your hat. Company policy is to remove your hat for identification. Local policy is to not wear your hat in the building. Just another hoop for you to go through to make them money. What is next white shirt only and clean shaven. Oror

The staff is fine but when it comes to getting paid its a joke. They have changed the pay scale twice and they dont tell you that you have to go twice between monday and saturday to get your full amount until you call them wondering why your not getting your money. The company as a whole is a joke that takes advantage of the donors.

Fun promotions and great staff. If you are just starting out, plan ahead. This center is close to campus and gets pretty busy. Donating can take a couple of hours to get through sometimes. If you keep going they have a VIP front of the line pass that helps speed things up. Looking forward to a 2nd center in Rexburg!

Best way to get $$$ being a fulltime student. I can get $750 a semester going twice a week. Compared to other "jobs", the experience is luxurious. Movie, sitting, time for HW, music, 1-2 hour visit. If u dont like the experience, get healthier, realize its work not a spa, and a blessing in terms of getting $$.

Want to wait three hours in an overcrowded, understaffed, stuffy building with wifi that works maybe once in every ten visits? NOPE! I might consider going back if they bought a new building that had three times as much equipment in it so they could keep up with all the college students that plague this town.

The staff is great. I basically donated twice a week for all four years of college and hardly encountered any problems. If you are on a time crunch then make sure to know what days and times are best for you. There can be a lot of people certain times of day donating, especially after afternoon classes.

Sometimes its busy but the staff has always been friendly and makes the experience enjoyable. Great way to always have some cash for grocery shopping while helping people who are medically in need of the plasma donations. Excited for the new center to come at the end of the year to handle more donors.

I have donated twice a week for the past year and have had as good of an experience as you can imagine for sitting with a needle in your arm for half an hour. But it provides medical help for people who need it and it pays for my gas, groceries, and dates. Perfect for a poor college student!

This Plasma Center is wonderful. Full of employees that make the donor feel like they are happy to serve them. Kelsey Mitchell and Shayla Bryan are especially great. They run a tight ship and put the donors needs first. It is a great way to make cash to take your boo on dates every week.

I have been donating here for a week now and honestly the people could not have made my experience here go more smoothly, I find donating to be a uncomfortable and tiresome thing so having the people be so friendly and also there to talk to if you are confused or to give help is a bonus.

Even waiting 3 hours for each donation you still make $10/hour. Not many places in Rexburg pay that well, especially a place where you can work part time and pick your own hours. Take a minute to research what plasma is and what the medications do for people with autoimmune diseases.

This is an excellent facility. They have been professional and helpful each time I have donated plasma. I have also never had significant bruising or had to have more than 1 needle stick per visit. Their wait times can be really long but they make up for it wth their other benefits.

I have donated here at Biomat Rexburg multiple times and each time has gone smoothly. The staff is very professional and accommodating and try their best to help you to be comfortable. I would highly recommend looking into donating plasma here and being a part of this environment.

I love donating at the Rexburg Biomat! The staff is incredibly friendly and always does everything possible to make your experience a great one. The staff is always on task and working together. The Rexburg Biomat is the place to go to make extra $$$ while also helping others!

They are upfront and honest with payments and try their best not to cause bruising or have long wait times. However, they are imperfect, so these things do happen, but not as much as it used to. All In all, this is, I believe, the best place to earn some easy cash around.

I love the Rexburg Biomat. Every time I have come they have been kind and courtious to me. I recently moved to Idaho Falls and, after having issues with the Idaho Falls BioLife, difrennt than BioMat, I happily make the half hour drive to Rexburg just to go to Biomat.

The service I have received during the year that I have been a member has been great overall. In all this months I just have had 2 opportunities in which things have been less than ideal. The people are pretty friendly and make feel good being with them.

I have had an overall good experience donating plasma at this location. The only downfall is the wait time can be long but now that you have to schedule an appointment it has sped it up quite a bit. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable.

Just been donating since January 2016 and can say that it is completely worth it! Great, nice and efficient people who work fast and are super helpful! Even great at keeping you entertained with a movie or music at all times. Absolutely recommend it!

The main guy here is so rude!!! Do not go here and if you do, avoid that man like the plague! You think a place that wants donors to help save lives would be kind. I can see someone having a bad day and not being nice once. But twice? Fire that man.
