Excellence My recent experience with the Honda Service Department and then with Ryan and Julio in Sales at the Gainesville Honda Dealership was excellent. Everyone worked together to make my visit worthwhile and productive, and did so in a super friendly and relaxed way. From the Service manager keeping me updated with approximate wait time and overall cost estimate - to making my wait extra productive by getting me to the right person to help me decide on and purchasing a new used car, it was a very pleasant experience. In every step of my visit, I was treated kindly, respectfully, and with consideration of my comfort and time. Being a single Mom and not having a lot of knowledge concerning cars, I have to trust and rely on people that I expect to be completely honest with me. More than once, I asked one of the guys, "What would you do?" or "If this was for a friend of yours, what would you recommend?" And I do sincerely believe that I was always given their honest answer, not just the answer that would make the dealership the most money. For my used Honda that I brought in for service, the manager explained everything clearly to me and showed me what repairs were necessary and what was optional. There was never any pressure to add on more services. Also, while I was waiting he got me to the right sales person to help me decide on a new used car. In used car sales, Ryan was extremely friendly and worked patiently with me to help decide what car suited my needs and budget. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the cars and answered my questions thoroughly - also offering additional information that helped me make an informed decision. He effectively matched me with the car that was the best for me and that I was comfortable with purchasing. Then when working with Julio in financing, I was again treated very well. He worked hard to find me the best available interest rate and terms. Julio was friendly and kindly explained all aspects of each step from purchasing, to the title and tag, to the warranty. Julio knew the forms backwards and forwards, and was able to explain every detail to my understanding. He made me feel comfortable with what could have otherwise seemed like a complicated process. Ryan, who helped me decide on the right car, was always still available throughout the process. He also more than once offered if I at any time in the future needed help, advice or had questions concerning the car for maintenance or service, or questions regarding the car itself, he was a phone call away and would gladly help. He even very kindly reminded me to make my appointment for the Xylon protection and offered his assistance regarding my now 2 Honda vehicles any time I needed. This care and effort has made me feel very confidant that I have made the right decision to purchase my 2nd Honda. I will always go back here for any service or maintenance I need. I will also ask for Ryan if at any time in the future I need any help or advice regarding selling or purchasing any new or used car. I feel fortunate to have been able to work with him on this significant and important purchase. Thanks !
Do not try to sell your car here! I went to three different dealerships to get my vehicle appraised as I plan on selling it this week, this was by far the worst service of the three. Not only did they take over twice as long as the two other dealerships but the manager was also rude and the general experience was unpleasant. When I first offered them the vehicle, I told them the current offers I had for it. I was assured by the sales representative that they would be able to offer me a higher price for it. So I allowed them to proceed with their appraisal. It started out very convoluted as I was being passed from representative to representative, then after answering the same questions twice to different people, I was told to take a seat and they would get back to me shortly. I waited for about 30 minutes without hearing anything back from them. Then one of the employees tells me that they will be ready soon and that he was confident their offer would beat the other offers I had and it was not a waste of my time. About 20 minutes later the manager comes over to me and offers to match the other dealers. I had made it clear several times before this that I was only interested if they would beat the previous offers and I was assured that this would happen. I tell the manager this and he returns to his office and says he will come back with another offer. I continue waiting another 15 minutes and the manager finally returns. I had the offers out from other dealers on the table I was sitting at since earlier my integrity was questioned as they thought I was lying about what I had been offered. The manager walks up to the table, picks up one of the offers and adds one dollar to the amount! He then tells me to go to the other dealer in a very rude way. This was a complete waste of my time and was treated very unprofessionally. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.
Honda of Gainesville provided great service in a timely manner. I would definitely have my car serviced there again, and recommend that others give them a try as well. I originally called to have my car serviced before embarking on a long road trip over Spring Break. The person(s) who answered the phone in the service department were extremely helpful in planning my service time and date, as well as letting me know how to order needed parts prior to my service date. The only downsides: 1) dealing with the automated phone answering service, and 2) I had to call back to order my parts the next day since it was past 5 PM. If they could handle ordering the parts the next day without having the customer call back, it would be more convenient. Dealing with the service adviser was a good experience. He let me know of any problems they discovered with my car that was not on the service plan, and provided me with unbiased information which helped me decide whether or not I wanted the service done at that time. Since I was going on a long trip I opted to have the service done, and since I was waiting they made sure the service was done in a timely manner. While I was waiting, another employee provided me with information on the benefits of owning a new Honda (better gas mileage etc.) as well as the expected trade-in value of my car. Although I was not interested at the time, it was still good information to have. The waiting room they provide has a kids area, a big-screen television, plenty of reading material, and free coffee. There is a cafe area as well, but it was closed the day I had my service done. They also provide two computers for guests to use. When I received my car it drove like new. My service adviser gave me some tips on breaking in my new breaks, and I was off. Overall a great experience.
Ryan Hurewitz has to be one of the best salesman at Honda....I truly enjoyed my experience there. I also enjoyed meeting and talking with the other staff. Thank you for all the hard work you put into making the deal with me Ryan......I am one happy customer. I originally went to Honda of Gainesville to find out what the issue was with my 2006 Honda Odyssey as I had gone through two major oil changes in less than 6 months. While there, I was approached and asked if I would be interested in trading it in. I was introduced to Ryan Hurewitz in sales by Cassandra. He showed me a 2012 Honday Odyssey that still had a 3 year warranty on it and had better gas mileage and even had a blue tooth in vehicle. I also needed to get a hitch put on it to carry my lift on the back. He was pleasant and willing to work with me in every way. Ryan introduced me to Bernie in finance who worked his magic and got me approved. I really have to say that Ryan is by far one of the better sales persons I have dealt with in years. And I did mention that to managers Kelly Meggs and Frank Bradley as well as Chris Irvin. I love how they have a cafe there where if you are hungry you can order some food while you wait. They have some great breakfasts and lunches there. So since my Honda was no longer under warranty, it was gonna cost me hundreds to fix the oil issue as well as anything else that broke down. So I made the decision to trade in the vehicle. I am pleased with working with Ryan and would recommend him to anyone looking for a vehicle. Honda was very willing to work with me on many issues pertaining to trading my vehicle in. So thank you Honda for having such awesome people working for you and for making me a happy customer.....Candy Sweet Lovett
My wife and I have been provided with excellent customer service by Dean Leeds over the past 13 years. We purchased our first Honda from Dean in 2000 after being a Toyota customer for 10 years. I just purchased my 4th new Honda from Dean and he as always gone above and beyond with the customer service he provides. I brought my 2004 Civic in for routine maintenance on a Friday and stopped by to say hello. I mentioned that I might be interested in a new 2013 Civic and he found one that met my needs and let me test drive it back to work. After the maintenance on my 2004 Civic was completed later that day and I returned to the dealership, I ended up purchasing a new 2013 Honda Civic the same day and he waived all the repair costs from my 2004 Civic. My wife and I came by Saturday morning to complete our paperwork and were even treated to a free, catered lunch at the dealership, while our new vehicle was prepped with some options we purchased. We also arranged for window tinting on my new vehicle the following week. First thing Monday morning, Dean came by my workplace, picked up my vehicle, had the windows tinted, and brought it back to me the same day! That is excellent customer service you would not normally expect, but is routine for Dean and this dealership! Everyone at the dealership made sure we were comfortable with our purchase experience and never made us feel pressured at all. I highly recommend them for anyone purchasing a vehicle and will definitely be back when it is time for another.
My wife and I had been driving a 2012 Nissan Sentra for the last year or so. We have recently decided that we were going to expand our family and there was no way that we were going to be able to do so in that vehicle. We spent months looking at every dealership in the area and we were not able to find anyone who was willing to work with us. Our situation wasnt the easies to work with as we had a new car that we didnt want to lose a lot of money trading in, and we had not the best of credit with a recent bankruptcy from our 2nd daughters hospital bills. I was just about to give up when I sent an email to Honda as one last try. I received an email and a phone call from Ryan and I explained our situation and he assured me that they would be able to help us out. I explained to Ryan what I was looking for and scheduled a visit. Ryan was a great salesman and answered all my questions about all the different vehicles I wanted as I changed my mind several times during my visit. Ultimately Ryan and the rest of the Honda staff that I dealt with were very nice and respectful of my time and what I was looking for. My wife and I are so extremely happy with the vehicle that we purchased after a long day of changing our minds. We bought a new CR-V and it meets all of our expectations. I will with out a doubt be a returning customer and I will send anyone I know whos looking for a care new or used over to that dealership.
Honda of Gainesville is a great place to get your car serviced. The user friendly online appointment scheduler, very convenient hours of operation, great customer service, comparable repair prices, and comfy waiting area make getting everything from regular maintenance to repairs a pleasant experience. My car is my baby and I don’t trust her with just anybody, but I trust her with the great people in the Honda of Gainesville’s service center. Plus, if you sign up for their emails they’ll send you service reminders as well as great deals on future repairs. When I had to have some expensive services done, I was able to get a credit card that allowed me to make payments for six months without any interest. I’ve used the card more than once and it’s been such a relief to be able to get needed repairs done without breaking the bank. In addition, when I had to use my extended warranty to cover some repairs, the service person contacted the company and arranged everything for me. They even argued for me in regard to one thing that wasn’t covered by the warranty when they thought it should be. Constance R
