this place is awesome. the prices are MORE THAN reasonable - of course collectable and pristine items are going to sold based on market value guys, what the heck else would you think? those kinds of reviews seem to be written by bitter resellers and flippers who are used to coming into places like this simply to make a quick buck. anyway more to the point, this restore location especially is a makers dream come true. its the kind of place the guys from Mythbusters would descend upon to root through piles of random but useful repair / replace / homebrew-potential items for hours at a time. i just struck up a conversation with a guy in the parking lot who bought the guts of a specific kind of ceiling fan to harvest for parts.

Sad to say the prices have skyrocketed across the USA at the Restores. When a store gets something for nothing and then resells it for prices comparable to brand new pieces something is wrong. This increase in prices must be from main headquarters. Sorry to say the Restores are going the way of the Salvation Army and Goodwill. A person on a blog I belong to stated that the Restore where they live put pictures from Pinterest on several pieces thinking that would justify the hike in prices. Shame on them. No one is begrudging making money but when you are reselling things that are given freely, be fair. People are not stupid.

A bit hard to get around inside. Some areas were inaccessible. They could really use a larger space because this is a great concept and a worthy cause. Wish I had a big warehouse to lend them. I think of the old Building 19 store, in Haverhill is just sitting there, rotting away-would be a great place for something like this. I realize this non profit could never afford the rent but maybe there is a wealthy benefactor out there who has an unused space for them.

A place to buy home improvement materials at the cheapest price, while supporting the great mission of Hsbitat, and preserving our Mother Planet. ReStore is good for your Finances, and Sustainable for generations to come.
