Professional, polite staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Wait times are pretty reasonable for the volume of people that roll through there. That should even improve, as they are expanding. Expect to be there for awhile on your first visit, as there is a medical screening process necessary prior to donation. I dig that I am helping people through my donation, but also get reimbursed for my time.
I DONATED PLASMA 25 YEARS AGO WHICH WAS SUCH A PRIMITIVE PROCESS. EVERY TIME I DONATE NOW I KNOW THAT I M SAVING PEOPLE,S LIVES WHO DESPERATELY NEED IT SO THEY CAN LIVE A NORMAL LIFE. THE STAFF ARE VERY WELL TRAINED AND VERY CARING OF EVERY PATIENT THAT DONATES TWICE A WEEK. I,M VERY PROUD TO SAY TWICE A WEEK THAT I SAVED A LIFE AT TALECRIS PLASMA CENTER ,YUMA, AZ.
This place is packed alot of the time but they try to get there job done the time you spend as a new donor is 4 to 5 hours at the longest as a returning donor it takes me an hour to 2 hours they recently changed the payment you receive for the first two weeks but once you have been coming here for 5years the payment stays the same the staff is friendly and courteous
When Talecrisis took over the plasma bank in Yuma 1000 doners where deferred of those not one was Mexican all where white and black . Only 100 were let back in then the management , then those 100 were deferred slowly. By the management . The manager would lie to the head office about why they were deferred permanently .
This was my first experience donating and they were implementing new procedures so it took a little longer than I expected BUT the staff were professional and knowledgeable and made the process a comfortable experience.
Every time I go, the workers are friendly and welcoming and I never have a bad experience going twice a week.
The locals are super attentive
