This store used to be a really great store with tons of items and good prices. But they moved to a better part of the neighborhood and now carry mostly new items at higher than kmart prices. This store, which I thought was to help service the poor, is now geared to upper income folks. I cannot afford to shop here anymore. And a woman I know who used to donate regularly to them stopped because she caught them throwing good (not trashy) donations away. When they were questioned about it, they told her they couldnt get the price they wanted- so rather than lower the price, the new policy is to trash it.

My wife and son primarily shop here. I have gone in and the store is clean, the staff friendly and helpful. They have some interesting things for sale in addition to the usual used and donated items. All items are in generally serviceable condition, they seem to go over the donated items carefully. Considering it is a charitable organization, they provide a good product for those who need to watch their money or want a bargain as well as some decent jobs for people in our area. I would recommend the Bangor Goodwill.

Overprised and the donated kitchen, sporting goods, etc are just thrown over in the area farthest from the registarbwhile "goodwill" sponsored stuff is organized and smartly placed...did they forget how they got started? Next time I will just stick to Salvation Army.
