I was very disappointed. I have gone here for many years. I found the changes to not be very professional. They have rewritten many plays and not very well. The acting was marginal, the actors did not match the roles. They were focused on diversity and not the play. The costumes were almost sillly. I have no idea who is incharge but they need to go. If you know nothing about Shakespeare maybe you would like it. For me it was hard to sit through the play. It was not good. If you want greath theather - do not go here. However, the town, the beauty of the area, the bead & breakfasts are wonderful. Also, some of the other theather in the town is good. Plan on dissapointment for Shakespeare.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in Ashland or nearby. The building had a Shakespeare Globe feel to it. Although modern in its design approach. Watching the play Odyssey as night fell was stunning! The acting/ direction/ set/ lighting was perfection. The seats do get uncomfortable which is why they hire out pillows for $5 so do take one with you to save the hassle and your bum! However we sat through 3 hrs and 20 mins and it went surprisingly very fast and our whole group was very entertained.

It is hard to express just how exciting the theatre productions of OSF really are. We came originally just to see some Shakespeare. We stayed on for the experimental theatre productions, and the freshly-commissioned works that OSF mounts every year. We have seen theatre in almost every major venue in the world, especially those places that specialize in Shakespeare. OSF is our hands-down favorite, matching or exceeding the best that London and Stratford have to offer.

The theatre scene is Ashland, Oregon is somewhat of a secret, unless you know theatre in this country. Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a world class venue, with the nations top actors and up-and-coming actors enjoying packed houses, amazing artistry and settled in a magical town in the Rogue River Valley in southern Oregon. Truly a treasure in theatre. A must see destination.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity not just to see clear and thoughtful Shakespeare (and other theater), but also to experience being part of an audience ready for such an experience. You can feel the passion in the room not just from the stage, but from all of those around you. What it adds to the experience is indescribable.

Great play in a great festive atmosphere in a nice town called Ashland. The location is great since it is very close to the Lithia park. I watched Shakespeare in Love which was the comedy show available next and loved it. They reduce the ticket prices to half during the rush hour which is an hour before the show starts.

First time attending the festival and setting many of the plays. We were here on a school field trip. The kids and parents squeezed 4 plays, and 3 workshops over 2 1/2 days. Plays were well done, workshops were well done and the instructors handled the large group of kids well, keeping order and staying on task.

I have been going with my husband to the festival for 4 years. He has been going since the 80s. I cannot imagine missing a year. This year, 2016, my favorite was The Wiz. This year, we also had our best meal in Ashland, Eleven (skip the desserts, though, they are mediocre). I cannot wait for next year.

went for the first time and absolutely loved it went up to see The Count of Monte Cristo at the Allan Elizabethan Theatre. great atmosphere and the smoke from nearby fires didnt ruin my experience either. Hope to return more often to see more. way better then shakespeare on the lake down in Tahoe

My party has seen around 150 plays here. High production value, attention to detail excellent acting dancing and singing. The costumes are spectacular. The Shakespeare productions are freshened engaging, the other modern and classic productions are also really well done. Well worth the trip.

My husband and I have been visiting Ashland since we got married. We even moved a few miles away from the town. We love seeing plays every summer and spend time in the area. It is such a magical place even with the hippies or wanna be hippies hanging around the park area.

For live theater and expecialy for the Northwest this is the place to go. They also feature other plays and is not exclusive limited too Shakespeare. The production and acting are very well done and the view is generally good even from the low budget seats.

Our recent visit to see Merry Wives of Windsor surprised me with how much fun we had as well as the quality of the production. Also got to see a mariachi band before the play as a warm up. Ashland is a cool town - would like to explore more.

Wow. We saw Pericles and Much Ado About Nothing - wonderful Shakespeare and the kids enjoyed them too. Also saw two musicals - Guys & Dolls (the traditional arrangement) and Head Over Heels (The Go-Gos) and recommend them both!

One of the best (if not THE best) repertory theater companies in the country! In addition to Shakespeare, they do new works, plays from other cultures, musicals. Every production this season is worth seeing!

This was a wonderful experience! Best Shakespeare I have ever seen, and there were modern plays as well like Hannah and the Dread Gazebo or Beauty and the Best. The talent was top notch!

So much to do, both in the city of Ashland and at the Festival. Definitely not just Shakespeare anymore! Be sure to catch Vietgone and Roe this season ... If you can still get tickets.
