The Guild Shop has an amazing selection of goods: decorative, kitchenware, accessories, clothes, jewelry, and furniture. I recently visited a few other thrift stores in the Westheimer & Dunlavy area, and found myself visiting Guild Shop again. Although a bit cramped for the wide selection of goods, Guild Shop has a high quality selection. Another great quality of Guild Shop is their pricing system. I recently bought a beautiful table vase made in Japan for only $3. The sticker price said $15, but Guild Shop has a system where the price is discounted every month it sits on the shelf. My friend also found 4 Pyrex beakers for only $4.50! Again, I really love the selection and pricing system of this thrift store. I will be sure to continue shopping here in the future!

I am very upset & feel betrayed by this shop. I called to see the status of our plates being sold. A volunteer said they sold in June & a check was sent for $300. We realized the address was wrong. The volunteer asked me to call back to speak to the person that could cut a new check. Upon calling I found that nothing had sold at all. I had been given completely wrong information. I feel so bad for my parents with whom I already told they are to receive $300. On a limited income for retirees, this is a lot of money. I did get an apology. However, I feel like this type of mistake is unacceptable & frankly a little disturbing. I am located far from the shop. How do I know if what they are telling me is true? Are we really owed the money?

This shop is bogus, I won a logo contest through an art class I was taking at Houston Community College and the store representative gave me a $100 gift certificate to use in store. I went there this week to use it and the lady working the register told me that I could not use it because it was not valid even though it was signed by an employee there and explained that she no longer was employed there. She let me purchase some glasses I found for $15, but told me that the rest of the credit would not be honored...I will not be back to this store. Terrible customer service, and really disappointed on my win for the logo contest as well. Way to exploit college student talents....why even offer a prize?

I have shopped and consigned here for the past twenty years. However, during the past five years, service and quality have become poor. They frequently lose track of consigned goods. The woman who runs the furniture consignments is rude and uncouth. Hence, most of the furnishings are overpriced junk. Many of the other items are damaged. Finally, last week when I visited the store, the officer on duty carefully watched customers of color.

I like to go there just to browse and you will never know that you might find something you like. I have purchase some jewelry there as well as some clothes. They mark their price down when item don’t sell after a period of time. They added a parking lot next to the shop so parking is no longer a problem. The store is kind of crowded and cramped with merchandise. The staff can be snobbish sometime especially at the Jewelry counter.

Great place for knickknacks and decor. There is a large selection of furniture in the back for very good prices. Lots of art but most is not great. Lots of outdoor furniture options but most needs a paint job. Beware this is not goodwill. The stuff here is not cheap but a good deal regardless. They have lots of plates and glassware.

Love the Guild and their volunteers. This is a place taking in consignments and donations, cataloging and displaying quality items for resale and supporting their charitable organization. Feel safe--Security is on premises. It does so much for the community. Love going there whenever traveling to and through Houston TX. Thank you!

Cool place with an awesome concept. The prices drop on items the longer they stay on the shelf. Check the tag. Might be worth waiting a couple days for the price to drop (Significantly). Buyer beware: wait too long and someone else will snatch it up first.

Got the run around. They were totally willing to come look at my things if i was going to donate them, but for resale consignment they were not interested in coming to Cypress to see an estate worth in excess of $70,000 easily. Thanks for your help...

Not as great as a lot of people make it out to be. There are treasures to be found but the place in well known and well picked. Prices can be a little high for new arrivals. Its worth a look but you have to go all the time to make a real find here.

The store had a lot of stuff, but was WAY over priced. It had antique store prices instead of thrift store prices. If you love thrift store shopping and the thrill of a bargain, this is not the store for you.
