I have never stayed here at this shelter. However, me and another friend took a tour of this place today. I got to see all the facilities and learn about policies and procedures. Having been homeless for about a year and four months (10 years ago), I know something about this lifestyle. What I saw was very nice on the long-term commitment end. On the other end, where it is the people that just come in off the streets, it was pretty nice too. They explained all the reasons for the rules they have on the short term side, such as not bringing your belongings into the bunk rooms (for bedbugs) and I can understand that. For a homeless shelter, this is the nicest one that I have ever seen. I stayed in probably around 10 of them in my life. In addition, I felt the spirit of God in this place. Clearly, God is in there and working with these people to give these addicts and homeless people a better life in Him. I would encourage you to support and pray for this place, because it is an actual ministry that really seems to be changing lives.
This is a homeless shelter with 100 beds... The reason it is given 2 Stars is because it is a homeless shelter and it is not recommended housing ... They serve a breakfast lunch and dinner however only lunch and dinner are open to the public but all three meals require a church service prior to being fed... They do house men and women with children in separate facilities of course...
They give bad Milk to woman and children. And run it like a jail and staff takes home donation stuff when it gets there . And if you are married they tail u that u can talk to our kids and wife or husband

Impressed with a tour I took recently. All spaces are immaculately maintained and cleaned. Food is very good, and by all first-impressions, the staff truly cares about their clients and residents.
Was their along time ago was drugged out stayed 1 night reminded me of the work house it inspired me to get my a__ up thank you always remember its not where you are its where your going.
This place is here to help the homeless but it does alot more damage then good. Its like a incarcerated night life in there and so much religion which makes you go away from God.
I truely feel that it is the best. Shelters in the state all cross the broard. Changing lives for those who want it truly all in as a team okay you go guys!!!!!!
none of what the other 2 said ever happend to me at the haven.i was there quite awhile saved my money and moved on. its what u make of it. food was good also.
God Bless the Haven. There is no place like it that I know of. It is superb in all the services it offers!
They take people that has no place to go and gives them a chance to get their lives back if they want it.
When volunteering i was able to give back to the community and food pretty good for a homeless shelter
