Habitat ReStore has undergone a lot of staff changes over the last year. As the store has matured, so has the staffing, I feel. I believe that the atmosphere and environment have become more professional and structured. I note over the years that pricing has been inconsistent and is often criticized for being too high. (see other reviews) I have learned that the ReStore has a policy/process of reducing the pricing of an item by 30%, if it has sat unsold on the floor for 3 weeks. Additionally, the process continues an additional 30% every 3 weeks until it is sold. A lot of the staff are committed to the "not for profit" mission of Habitat for Humanity. Although many of the staff are young and relatively inexperienced in "customer service", they are enthusiastic about the mission of ReStore and "community service". In my opinion, it is a growing organization that is conscientiously addressing its challenges and opportunities.

Great spot to find inexpensive house hold/building items. They have lots of used furniture, doors, vanities, etc. Not all of it is used, many of the building materials look brand new, so I think they are probably leftovers from Habitat projects or donations. I specifically went for tiles and they had a bunch! I only wanted a couple for display purposes, but I saw one family leave with a cart full for a project! I purchased 4 large tiles for less than $5 total. Purchasing one display tile online is $30-50. So basically I saved myself about $120! Sweet! I recommend checking here for project materials before heading to Home Depot.

this place USED to be a good alternative to goodwill, but whoever does the pricing here HAS GONE INSANE. We were in with our son yesterday, and they had a "gently used" first act electric drumset marked at $85. THIS ITEM IS $50 BRAND NEW AT TARGET. As we went around the store we noted a lot of ABSURD price tags. I must not be the only one noting this - the store was almost empty, where it used to bustle and hop on Saturdays. It will be a long cold lonely winter before I step foot inside this Restore again. I hope this review of FACTS will help management to get their pricing back to reality.

This store has great stuff. I loved a cabinet that had many shortcomings and was priced at $100.00. It was clearly overpriced and when I asked if someone would look at it and reconsider I was promptly told prices were not negotiable. I have bought many things in this store and never asked for a change of price consideration. Still bought a great chair for my patio. I think when someone asks that a price be reviewed to see if someone inadvertantly priced something too high, it should be honored.

Prices here can be hit or miss - large items tend to bring a great value over purchasing new, if you check over the quality carefully. Smaller items, especially hardware, new-in-bag are often priced considerably higher than can be found elsewhere. Worth visiting on a regular basis if looking for something in particular - the good stuff goes fast! Keep an eye on the sales tags, might save a large percentage off your purchase.

Habitat for Humanity in Durham is great. The turnover of furniture and appliances is unreal! If what you want is not there today, try again tomorrow! See some pictures of the stuff I got there. Solid Teak table $85. Solid wood dresser with birch veneer $30. And the people there, mostly volunteers are so nice! They are now open 7 days a week. Save money and help the poor at the same time. A feel-good experience

If I could give less than a 1 I would. ABSURD PRICES. I thrift shop regularly at goodwill, salvation army, etc....and I used to come to this habitat --- until the obvious change in management via pricing. I went in there looking for a basic cheap lamp and there literally, and I mean LITERALLY not a single lamp under $40 that day. WTF Habitat? Fire this manager before this once amazing restore fails.

Great place to find cheap goods or good at great prices. Everything usually is used but the prices are low to reflect that. If your looking to not spend much money check it out. I go just to see if I can find that rare gem every now and then.

Ok selection of items. This store is clean and very organized but not a huge selection of items in my opinion. Prices are a little competitive on some things. Try and catch some of the deals during the week. Always busy

Dont shop here. This place has alot of junk at ridiculous prices. The workers are rude and all the items are so dirty. I saw jeans where someone had poo poo stains on it.

Great restore for local bargain hunters. Bring in a donation for a small discount on a same day purchase of an in store item. Habitat does pick up certain items too.
