I have brought my pets here for years. Today is Saturday, on Monday i called to ask if i could get an appointment today because my elderly dog isnt walking right and cant get up and down the stairs. I was told id have yo br8ng him to the walk in clinic. I arrived at 830 am, as instructed. I madr it very clear why were here, vut was apparently not properly checked in. At 10 i went up to the counter to ask a question, which couldnt be answered. I then found out, my dog was checked in for a regular physical, not an emergency need for xrays and lavs as he should have been. So my dog and i were turned away at 10, because lab work must be submitted by 12, and now they wouldnt be able to get to me. So now my dog gets to suffer for a full f**king week while we wait to get him in someplace. Do you know how hard it is for someone with ms to lift a 110 pound dog in and out if a car, let alone up and down stairs everytime he has to pee!?!? I would be so much less upset if 1. They would have allowed me to just make an appointment the first time i called 2. Or they would have at least let me know at 830 they were too busy today, or gee maybe they could have checked us in for the right appointment! 3. The s3cond they realized they checked me in wrong, they should hav4 taken us back and fixed it! Thanks to their error my dog is paying the price. Pissed off is an understatement.

I have taken 2 dogs and 2 cats in for spayed and neutering. Awesome staff and care. Today I thought my 16 yrs old kitty was almost dead. My daughter and I took him in. Dr. Johnson and all the staff was caring, compansionate and understanding of Mr. 2Paws condition and my stress. Within an hour after blood work and oxygen I was taking him home feeling much better. I love this place and strongly recommend them for your family as well. Thank you for all you do.

This place DOES NOT care about pets. My dog got loose and someone found her, took her to humane society and they refused to hold her till I could pick her up. Instead they let the lady leave with her without getting ANY information from her and they have always been her care giver for spay, shots, and dr visits. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR ANIMALS because you will loose your family member like me!

My best friend and family member Bo a 9 yr old chocolate lab needed some special help with a tumor on his shoulder. The people at the humane society were more than helpful and caring. They saved my dogs life and saved my family losing someone very special to us. If I ever have the luxury of having too much money I will gladly donate to the humane society. Thank you so much for helping us. 5 million stars!!!

sounds like everyone has met the mean old bag working behind the counter.Rude is too nice a word for this bag of bones.The truth is the humane society is a scam.They have no intention of finding good homes for pets.They are too busy lining their pockets with donations instead of helping animals.They are much better places to adopt from and donate to.Unless you like awful service and zero help adopting

Christine Blank, dog adoptions coordinator, at the Humane Society has been awesome to work with. She has been very responsive and willing to answer any questions we have on the dog we are adopting. Everyone there seemed very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

An excellent resource for those that are disabled ...sliding scale fee for therapy pet companions...excellent for those who have no family.This service allows the therapy companions to stay healthy and heal when need be...PHILANTHROPY

Affordable and great care for pets! Yes, it can get busy at times...but I recommend an appointment so the wait is less. They do a ton of outreach and are truly and essential & integral part of the KC community!

I took my baby, Bandit here for the first time! People are great here and Dr Grace was terrific with Bandit and myself! Bandit and I were both nervous. Love ya all at the Humane Society!
