I purchased a 2012 Nissan Versa recently at Port City and overall was very pleased with the experience. The internet research with Phil was great - his answering of my initial questions - including straightforward inventory and pricing was a key component (no BS) over email which kept me from wasting my time (or theirs). By the time I made it to the dealership I had my choices narrowed, accurate pricing in hand, and was then taken through the buying process cleanly and efficiently by Ryan my salesman - deciding on some options and test driving some cars. So I have many pros, I felt like they cared about me as a customer, even though i was buying a very cheap car. to give a fair review I always present areas of improvement, which would fall in line with most any dealer, the warrantee hard sell is annoying (but not too much pressure) and price negotiations were typical (I have to go talk to my manager - 5 times, be right back) but that is expected. I would prefer more one on one and less of that type of old school sales tactic but its pretty common and was tolerable. The car was ready immediately, they did all the insurance legwork, and temp plates, and even delivered the car to my home - which I am not sure is typical to all, I happen to be fortunate to always work with great dealers like Port City so perhaps I have high standards. I did not sense dishonesty or shiftiness as you do with some dealers. I buy my cars typically based on dealers I feel i can work with, not the cars or location, so I would recommend them as one of a few good dealers in the Portsmouth area.

I visited Port City Nissan today to look into buying/leasing a new vehicle. I had not bought a "NEW" car for almost 30 years (bought used) and was somewhat anxious because of all the new technology. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would drive out a few hours later with a brand new Nissan Sentra. Ryan Faulkner was the first person I spoke with and would recommend him to anyone looking for a truly sincere and friendly sales person. He explained every aspect of the purchase/lease and answered all questions I asked. Brian Snow was the second person I had to sit with and he made me feel right at home and got me thru the "sign on the dotted line" process without a hitch. I truly left Port City Nissan feeling like a teenager again. I am now cruising around Portsmouth in a snappy new car and loving every minute of it. I will feel comfortable, once again, driving to see family and friends without the worry of a possible breakdown. Thank You Ryan and Brian for a terrific car buying experience.

Received a junk mail letter from this dealership with some phony internal email from the General Manager to an Internet Sales employee with a yellow sticky note attached. Apparently some customer of the dealership is in desperate need of an 8 year old Mini Cooper with 130k miles and our car is the only one that meets their criteria. They offered to buy the car from us above blue book value no less, undoubtedly in exchange for inflating the trade in value to balloon a car loan through their finance department. Seriously? No one else had a Mini with high enough miles to satisfy your "customer"? If these are the tactics the sales department has authorized to bring in customers, I can only imagine how aggressive they are in person. No thank you.

My experience with Port City Nissan is limited to an emergency call I made to them late on a Saturday afternoon. I had lost the key to my Nissan on the beach and was in need of help. They thoroughly explained the whole process of getting my key replaced, which would include bringing the car to their shop, since it is a chip key. Since AAA was not be able to get my car to the shop before the service department closed, their sales department helped us to coordinate the rental of a car on very short notice. They were courteous and very helpful. Their location has extremely convenient access directly from the Spaulding turnpike or from Woodbury Ave. I have definitely put them on my list of places to shop when it is time for a new car.

This was our second new car purchase from Port City Nissan in the last year and we have been very happy in all of our dealings with the staff. The dealership has a nice size inventory to choose from but is small enough that everyone gets to know you. When your in for service or in need of a new car there are plenty of people you will be familiar with and they will make it plesant for you. I did my internet research prior to contacting the dealership for an internet quote and was suprised that the quote Phil sent me was actually lower than I expected. I dealt with Christine in sales as well as Casey the GSM and was offered a good deal for my trade and Eric had the rate I needed and we flew through the paperwork and were on our way.

Outstanding service from the time I walked in the doors. I was greeted by the Finance Manager, Eric, when I walked into the door. Very friendly and welcoming. He introduced me to the salesman named Matt. He took his time to sit down and talk with me about my current car, what was important to me in my car and found the perfect match. We test drove a Maxima, and unfortunately was a little over my price range, or so I thought. Matt and Eric both worked well together as a team to find a way to get me into the car I really wanted. You can feel that everyone in the dealership are like family. Everyone is very personable, and accommodating. I highly recommend Port City to anyone in the area looking for a car.

I leased a car 3 years ago from Derek. He was wonderful and very helpful. I made the mistake of not going to him again. I had to deal with Tyler instead. He is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. He was friendly at first, but when I required him to spell out everything for me in terms of money and payments, he kept giving me the "run-around", and he became a nightmare to deal with. He swore quite a few times while dealing with us. I will never lease or buy a car from Port City Nissan again because of Tyler. If you want a good deal and a great experience, go see Derek. I decided to go to the Somersworth Nissan, and I had a lovely experience.

DO NOT EVEN SHOW UP THERE. I have never had such a horrible experience at a car dealership. I was warned to not go there and I should have listened. They are extremely pushy which I can understand, they have to sell cars, but when I had the car looked over by a mechanic it had a weak alternator and the battery was leaking acid. I tried to over look this because I did really like the car but when I showed up to purchase the car they had raised the price from the price we agreed upon. All I experienced was pushy liars that do even have the common decency to fill your gas tank when you purchase their vehicles.

I spoke to Josie in Sales today at Port City Nissan and asked if they had a Nissan Vectra for lease at under $200/month. She asked if I was putting any money or trade in down. I said Nothing down or to trade. She said we can definitely do under $200/month. So I go there and guess what rate they give me for the car? $285/month. This place tries to bring you in under false pretense and hope they can sell you something else for more, it is a SCAM. DO NOT GO THERE, EVER. I will call the state Attorney Generals office and open an investigation about them as well.

My 9 year old son and I spent a few hours here on a Saturday and drove home a pre-owned car trading in our old car. Darren Bacon was our salesman and it was a fun, relaxed experience that moved at a good pace. He helped up choose a car that fit our needs and our budget. My trusted mechanic, not associated with Nissan, confirmed that our pre-owned car is in excellent condition. Our "new-to-us" Juke is a blast to drive! Noah and Joel went above and beyond to help me get into the car I wanted at the price I needed and I am thankful for that. The battery to my car key started to die the following day, I was going to be at work all day without a break, Noah drove all the way to my work and replaced my battery!! This was my first visit as I bought my Rogue about seven months ago. I brought it in for first oil change. Not only was the oil changed, but my tires were rotated, fluids checked and car washed. The waiting area was very comfortable and there were all sorts of goodies. If I had known I would not have had breakfast. I do have the maintainance plus program, but I was shocked to find out all these services were free of charge! The staff was very polite and it was not a very long wait. Thank you

High pressure sales tactics. Deceitful practices. If you buy used from them, make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection from an independent mechanic, before and after you purchase! I purchased a car from them, on delivery day they said the work had been done, but I found out that none of the work had been completed. When I called to complain, the sales manager had a very cavalier attitude toward the issues. I have never been treated so poorly by a dealership and their staff before.

The is the best Nissan dealer ship in the Portsmouth nh area...The Sales crew were absolutely wonderful to me and everything i needed and wanted in a car they have help me through. They were very reasonable to my price range and negotiations we very easy and stress free. In comparison to somersworth Nissan about 20 mins north the worst experience of my life trying to buy a car. I definitely recommend port city Nissan to all my friends and future buyers of a Nissan car/truck/suv.

I recently purchased an Xterra from Port City Nissan, my third straight vehicle I have purchased there. I started this purchase by interacting A LOT with Internet Manager Phil Walter via e-mail who was both professional and knowledgeable. After going into the dealership for a test drive, Port City was able to get me out of a lease early and into the Xterra I needed for my growing family. No question I will go back for my next vehicle. I am very unsatisfied with this dealership. I came in a while ago to get my 2009 Nissan Versa looked at because it had broken down on the side of the road. They gave me a false diagnosis and charged me for it, saying I needed a new transmission. They suggested that I pay their $4,000 charge for the new transmission. I ended up having another mechanic inspect the car, to find out it was only a minor problem that was fixed for $300.

Sales rep tyler dishonest and lied. Had multiple contract issue and the owner refused to return my calls. Nissan had to step in to straighten thingd out. WATCH YOU CONTRACTS dealer does not honor them escpecially when it comes to car matainance. Will never do buisness with them again i would rather spend more money somewhere else. Also had to get a lawyer involved and am pursing them for contract breach.
