Well for those on small or limited budgets Goodwill is renowned for having affordable used goods. Although that has changed some as they have begun s boutique program to become more relevant and shed the onus of used goods (especially clothing) at a time when the practicality and savings inherent in recycling (especially of clothing) have made it more fasionsble. The.change has meant higher prices without a corresponding rise in quality or selection. But for gently abused furniture it is still the best place to furnish an apartment or house for very little (few things cost more than $20 or $30 with many surprising bargains at $10 or less). In line with the boutique idea they also now carry a line of new housewares of their own branding, which are competitive with similar items elsewhere on price and quality. Granted this is not to place to find a unified style or one that makes an outstanding statement (except perhaps, painfully poor). There is still much to find here at reasonable prices that will serve and give one a good feeling of doing something good for something (even if only ones budget).

This is right up there with the best Goodwilliams in town. Great staff and great stuff. Lots of stuff. The books are always a gas to rummage through. Lots and lots of jewells there and more. I never do not find something and at times have to fight other customers for items...not physical fight. I found a great dancing rooster there that worked and is most dreadful but Oh so cool.

Local and community based organization that serves the needy in Austin. Also great place to find a bargain thing or two. Lately this place has come under the scanner. people have questioned its real worth in improving the community. Until there is an alternative I will keep patronizing it.

I actually really prefer this Goodwill over the Savers on Burnet sometimes. They have a huge offering of things and the shelves are literally overflowing with hidden treasures. I never fail to walk out with something when I go here so proceed with caution. Definitely my go to thrift store.

You can find some really cool things and good deals here but you have to dig a little bit. Things are a bit unorganized. I found a couple things that I had been looking for for a while today but it took some searching. The staff was very friendly and helpful also.

I love thrift store shopping and I am always able to find something good at goodwill. I do think some items are way over priced for used goods that are donated, but overall this goodwill location is a good thrift store to browse.

I bought a dvd/blueray player here after asking an employee if I could plug it in to see if it works. He kindly showed me where to plug it in and let me know about their return policy. Got home and it works great!

This is my favorite Goodwill in Austin. Always a good selection of cheap tshirts. You can find some new and gently uses clothes here for a fraction of the normal price. Also check out the auction on Saturdays.

Not a good selection, store is not clean and smells bad. There are much better thrifting options in Austin. Also, they close the dressing rooms an hour before the store itself closes, so plan accordingly.
