Zac Velpel

Called in to get some up to date information for a school report as the online information was old and out of date. The posted fiscal information was last updated in 2012 on the website. When I called in and asked to speak to someone about getting the latest information. The person on the phone told me he could not give me the information as he said he did not know who I was even though the information is posted publicly on the website and hung up. Very rude and all I needed was the newest numbers they had not posted online for 2013. Horrible people work at the Road Home.

It sucks the rules r stupid and i think once they put u in a 30 day bed u should stay in that bed un till u can find an apartment or some place else to go this 30 days in a bed and then u have to start all over again i think if they would put us women in a bed and then just keep us in that bed we would all be easier to get along with. But for some reason they wont i no i would like to just stay in the bed im in that would be great

A few years ago I got stuck in SLC it was cold and I was hungry they helped me out no questions and no problems what more could you ask for when your stuck out on the streets in a place where you know no one and have no money at the time ? I thank the Father and ask for him to bless them every time I think about that time in my life. If you find yourself down and out in the cold be thankful for people such as them.

I Have lived at The Road Home before and Ill tell you this it is what you make It I believe a person could use the resources there and be successful as long as the avoid the wrong people. Get involved as a volunteer and always do the next right thing and you can make it out alive. And you can bet I will be back there some day to help repay The Road Home for all they have done for me.

Just being in the area gave me a massive panic attack, let alone about a dozen or so homeless people offered me drugs. And then there were the 3 dozen or so drug syringes laying on the ground!! They offer NOTHING for the recent homeless who wants to get back to work and roof over head...as in a somewhat normal life....they just cater to junkies, drug addicts and sex offenders

Volunteer. Never turn anyone away that is willing to keep the rules. work to help people find permanent housing and have on-site counselors as well as veterans and workforce services. That said, there are individual residents who take advantage of others who stay there. Provides a wonderful resource for the community.

The best shelter i have ever been to because the staff really helped me out with my needs of clotheing early in the morning socks, underwewear, shirt, pants, plus hygiene and support for any questions ive had for survival thank you road home you got me back on my feet and god bless

The drug problems are extreme and staff members can not stop it even if they wanted to because of the way the owner/director has it set up. Some of the rules only hurt those of us who truly work ever day and do stay off of drugs and try to get jobs and be self sufficient.

Full of drugs outside and dealers. There are some assistance programs here but funding is limited. The place is clean ion some areas and quite not in others. There are big problems inside and not all staff will help even with basic questions.

Severely underfunded and under secured. The workers here seem to have given up and merely do their minimally required jobs to get paid. This is not their fault but rather the fault of an under caring, over privileged government.

this is not a place i would take any kids staff have no respect for anyone that stay there and security suck f*** they dont care and they do the same think as the staff do stay a way from this place not clean at all

Not to good sometimes the food is just over bad and they still hand it out. But if you make it by 7:00 pm. You can sleep there until 6:15, but you have to listen to people lie about a testimony for like 2 hours

Drugs everywhere homeless people were all over the sidewalks using drug the Mexicans were all over selling drugs. Horrible smell not a place I would recomend anyone taking the family.

Discussing place where drugs are rampant and no accountability... not safe for truly homeless people just vagrants. Would be a very bad place to bring your family if you needed help

Absaloutly hated it. Lived there, done that. Every time I took a shower it was COLD. People took everything. We gone a night they took all my blankets.
