My wife and I have been to this location many times to drop off donations. We have donated a lot to Goodwill for years and always ask for a receipt for tax purposes. The locations in Athens are the only drop off locations in Northeast Georgia where we have had trouble getting receipts. Depending on who takes the donation, you may or may not get a receipt. When they hand you the receipt envelope, you assume a receipt is in it. Do not assume. My wife just dropped off a donation in Bogart and was given an envelope with a typewritten piece of paper asking if you noticed the QR code on your donation ticket? She did not get a ticket, just the piece of paper. She did not know this until she got home because she should not have to worry about it. She emailed Goodwill about this, but did not get an answer. We feel that our donations help many people and all we want in return is a receipt. This should not be a problem at any location.

I was stranded in Athens and found this Goodwill near a Greyhound Station. I asked the manager if she could donate a book so that I could read on my bus trip home and informed her that unfortunately no money. She looked at me squarely and said, "I cannot do that. This is a retail business." To think 100 percent of their proceeds comes from donations and the leadership refused to donate a single book to a person in need. So much for Goodwill!

Ive bought alot of things there For the most part ended up being broken When I got home to Iva,SC 60 Miles away.The last time We went one of the cashiers With a raspy voice said We will be closing in 49 minutes She had the nerves to come back at intervals to say the will be closing in 45 minutes on and on every 5 minutes Got tired of that nonsense and left.

This store is clean and organized. This is a thrift store so expectations should be of such. Some items in clothing, i.e. shirts, are overpriced. For example a new Old navy shirt for $4.95 when it cost that much brand new during there once a month sales. But, if you shop smart and use the color discount system this place is great!

I have never been treated so horrible in my life. The manager talk down to me like I was his five year daughter! My family and I shopped there at least once a week but after my last visit we will never return. Very upsetting!

Personnel always friendly and helpful. Store is clean and well organized. Whoever works the jewelry counter is always pleasant and patient. I live 45 miles away but always enjoy visiting this store when in Athens.

Lots of stuff but you have to have time to look as there is a lot of items - especially clothing. Some things are alittle pricey for a thrift store I think but its a good cause.
