This shelter has very good people doing the best they can. They clearly need a new, clean and modern facility. The many towns they serve must step up and help the Coastal Humane Society to be the best shelter it can be. Every single dog and cat and rabbit and every other animal deserves a wonderful, warm and cozy shelter when in need. Come on folks, step up and support all the animals who pass through these doors and the good people who are helping them.

The folks here do amazing work for all animals. This is a no-kill shelter, which means animals are only euthanized when it is a question of the animals health, not for convenience. Kudos to the staff that works tirelessly to make Maine a better place to own a pet!
