Ben Barker

One of the largest tissue centers in the country. Fast and efficient staff. However, due to FDA regulations, staff are NOT REQUIRED to wear gloves because donors are volunteers. The thinking is that blood borne pathology does not affect volunteers as it does for people who get paid for plasma. This type of thinking is elitist, dangerous and foolish.

I have been a steady donor for years. CBCused to give gallon pins, but now they give cheap T shirts. I am a nineteen gallon donor. I did not receive an 18 or 19 gallon pin. Seems to me that the pin designated a loyal donor. Why did you stop that program?
