My experience with cars2charities has been interesting to say the least. Everything went well in the beginning. I bought a vehicle from another state and everything went smoothly. The paper work was sent via overnight mail and I return it the same way. Within a week of me getting the money and paper work sent in the vehicle arrived. I was very impressed with the shipping time as it took only two days to get from California to the east coast. The issue I had was my state requires an inspection from to be filled out by me. The only thing Cars2charities had to do was get it notarized. I sent this single sheet of paper to David with Cars2charities on 4-8-2016, it is now 4-27-2016 and I still haven’t received this paper. I called David and texted him at least twice a week. His response was always the same “I have it notarized but just have to scan it and email it to you”. I have heard this excuse for the past two or three weeks. My overall experience was poor with Cars2charities but had the potential to be excellent. I am the type of person that if you tell me something or give me a deadline, then I expect that to be met. I ended up having to jump through a lot of hoops on my end but the vehicle is now registered and legal to drive almost 2 months after the purchase.

Last year when I wanted to donate our 10 year old Pontiac van to our church, I was referred to cars2charities. Our van had an “as is” value of $1,850 and definitely need a some work. Through their unique process of fixing up the cars and selling them to private parties (many of whom are in desperate need of low cost refurbished vehicles) versus selling to wholesale or junk/scrap buyers, they were able to get $2,500 for my van and thus increase my tax deduction. The whole process with the cars2charities team was effortless. The pick-up was quick, the tow truck driver was knowledgeable, and all the paperwork, instructions and tax forms were very clear. Their process maximizes value for all involved: Donor, Charity and Buyer. A few months later a friend had a SUV she wanted to donate. I referred her to cars2charities and her experience turned out exactly like mine in all respects. I was so impressed by the cars2charities team, that when I needed a vehicle partner for a new not-for-profit I started, they were my first call.

Not often do I come across a company that lives up to their slogan, but this one actually did. Once we submitted our car and filled out a form online that was basically all we had to do. A towing company came to pick it up, and we got a tax donation letter in the mail several weeks later. The end value that the car generated was actually quite a bit more than I thought, also. They also contacted and were able to donate funds to a local charity that I like as well, so that was a big bonus. Thanks to everyone who helped us get rid of our old clunker!

I used Cars2Charities to donate my 2005 Honda Civic to one of my local animal rescues - Edith was very responsive, my car was picked up quickly and they did a really nice job fixing up my car to sell (they sent me photos). Also, my tax deduction was much higher than I expected it would be. The only disappointment is that I never received an acknowledgement from the charity (Animal Rescue Friends Project) confirming or thanking me for my donation.

Edith and David were very easy to work with and they made the donation process painless. I was able to very quickly have the car picked up and they took care of the rest. And what a nice surprise when I saw how much they were able to sell the car for. I, and I know my church as well, am very happy with cars2charities.

Cars2Charities made it easy for us to donate our "broken" vehicle to one of our favorite non-profits. They found a great buyer, and handled things in a quick and thorough way. All this was coordinated from China, where we currently live, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend them!

Recently purchased a car from David. The price was very fair. The condition outstanding. The description was accurate. David showed me the rationale of the car price. Would definitely purchase from them again. Peter Walker.
