When we arrived at the KOA in Winthrop, we had the priviledge of meeting Mike and Mary, the owners of the campgrounds. I came in the door singing Hallilujah we made it over the pass! And Mary and I hit it right off! This campground was very clean, the camping spots are well maintained. There were lots of areas for the kids to have fun. The pool was perfect. It was clean and went from 3-6 ft deep. They keep the green grass by watering on a daily basis, and it is right on the river also. The little store they have was well stocked, and I even bought a Christmas gift for my sister while there. Mike and Mary are VERY friendly and we had several chats with them while there. We had to leave a night early, because of a family emergancy, and they actually refunded out last night stay. That was totally unexpected. I would give this campground a 10 if it went that high up. I highly reccomend it. Thanks Mike and Mary for such a great stay!

My wife and I were privileged to spend 4 nights here in late August, 2008. We struggled to get our roof-top dish to hone in on a satellite, and we called to see if there was another site available. The owner and a fellow RVer came to our site to see if they could help! As it turned out, I have a dish/tripod as well, so we set that up the next morning. Voila! Regardless, the camp is extremely well-cared for and has lush grass for most of the sites, and they are constantly working on the few bare spots. There is an excellent, well-stocked store. Internet WiFi is shaky at best where we were parked, but they do have it. The shuttle into Winthrop was a big plus as well. This location was a great experience!

Our family arrived at this Winthrop KOA last Friday. Our very first impression of this place was that it is extremely clean. We check ourselves in and the staff are very friendly. It is a family owned facility and they take pride in running this fantastic place. 1. The campsites have plenty of room 2. Pool is clean 3. The Methow river meanders next to the campground 4. The KOA store has everything you need for supplies 5. There are bike rentals for kids on site 6. The property is very well maintained 7. 2 pubic bathrooms. One has showers and was recently built.

Stayed in the cabins in 2010 and 2011. The owners and staff are extremely kind and accommodating, and provide a very high level of service. The facilities are in excellent shape, especially with the opening of a new restroom/shower building. The cabins themselves are in a beautiful setting, in great shape, and very comfortable (equipped with bunk beds, 2-person bed, small desk, space heater, electricity, and a covered patio with swinging chair.)

the staff were very nice and helpful. The pool was an excellent temperature and very fun for the kids, and the playground was fun. The bathrooms were VERY clean. The sites are not private at all and more shade would be helpful for tenters. The river is high and fast right now.

I was there for three days.the cabin was very clean and comfortable. Mike was great and was friendly asking if I needed anything. He talked to you like he new you for a long time.realy quite and you here the river at knight with the crickets.it is a realy nice place.

Nice campground with well-maintained facilities. Good location alongside the river, which is quite relaxing. Although there are no benches, it is nice to climb through some bushes and sit alongside the river - very soothing and relaxing!

This will be our 5th year tent camping at this wonderful camp ground! You can basically float the river right from your campsite. The owners are super family friendly and will not tolerate horrible campers, we love it.

This is a wonderful KOA!! Lots of space, close to town, friendly staff, and they keep the facilities so clean and nice. I would definitely stay again!!

Great KOA with friendly staff in a sweet spot. They even has a shuttle that takes you up river so you can float back to the campsite.

Overall a good KOA with a decent pool and friendly staff. The river access is not very good and there is not much of a beach.
