The Salvation Army Family Store and Donation Center is a non-profit organization located at 1491 Division Ave S Suite 2, Grand Rapids, MI 49507. The store operates from 9 AM to 8 PM six days a week and is closed on one unspecified day. It has a rating of 3.7 based on customer reviews.
Customers generally appreciate the store for its mission and community service. The staff is often described as caring and helpful. However, some reviews mention that the staff can sometimes appear overworked and less friendly. The store is particularly noted for its rehabilitation program.
The store is accessible but has received mixed reviews regarding its cleanliness and organization. Some customers find the store to be musty and dingy, while others appreciate the large inventory. The store is also part of an alcohol rehab center, which is highly valued by the community.
The store offers a wide range of items, from clothing to household items and furniture. The clothing section has been critiqued for its organization, as clothes are sorted by color rather than size. The basement is highlighted for having a variety of furniture. Prices are generally considered reasonable, although some customers find certain items to be overpriced.
The store is part of The Salvation Army's broader mission to aid the less fortunate, and many customers feel good about contributing to this cause through their purchases. The store's location also serves as an alcohol rehab center, adding another layer to its community service. Some customers describe their shopping experience as akin to a "treasure hunt," requiring some digging but often resulting in worthwhile finds.

I LOVE The Salvation Army. I have a personal relationship with the organization and I love to see people growing through their projects. The Family Store and Donation Center is one of them. You may find what you are looking for or you may not, but one thing is for sure: thinking that I could be helping the system by purchasing something that I actually need feels awesome. Thanks!!!

The selection is limited the store is dingy and musty the dust is overwhelming but the location is a alcohol rehab center for the less fortunate and that is priceless.

Wonderful thrift store. Lots of cloths to choose from with hidden gems to be treated like a treasure hunt. Fun store. Basement is filled with great furniture too.

I go to thrift stores to shop for clothes. Would much rather have the clothes sorted by size and not color. Had a lot of prices fall off while I was looking.
