PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the 1 star reviews specifically concerning the sales department. I came down from Northern California to purchase a vehicle. I was told I could be out the door with a specific car I found on their website for a specific price. I did not want to waste my time there as I was on a limited budget by haggling. So my salesman Zack, said "my manager approved that price, we can have you out the door." I thought, cool, finally an honest salesperson. BOY WAS I WRONG. Dont get me wrong, zack was a nice guy. I wasnt able to get out the door with my price, whatever. I only was there for like 4 hours. I just wanted to get out. PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR SPREEN ADVANTAGE. 1. they say you have roadside assistance for FREE, they will do anything for you. lock out, ran out of gas, flat tire, all for.....wait for it....free. Wow, thats sweet. Not true, (as I came to find out) but sweet to the ears at least. 2. NExt comes their 10 year 125,000 EXTENDED warranty coverage. Now remember I came down from northern california and made it a HUGE point to ask them over and over that if I purchased the vehicle and it did have a problem, would I be able to get it fixed under their 10 year 125,000 mile warranty on the power train WITHOUT having to come back to spreen. YES OF COURSE, they said. In fact, Tom Awobady, Zack, Brittney from finance and another fellow from finance ALL confirmed right their in the office that if I had any trouble that their extended warranty could be dealt with ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY! How about that. What a good deal. Again, if it were true. This is not to mention the 2.5 hours of making me wait and talking to 4 different people about purchasing an extended warranty. Now, people if you have been through this at spreen, you will hear them use this example OVER AND OVER AND OVER: "...even if your AC knob falls off, they will fix it for free!" This is absolutely not true, do not let them tell you this. In fact my AC knob fell off and bam, it will cost $100 with their deductible. I cancelled the extended warranty with the company (century - WHO HAS BEEN AMAZING BY THE WAY) and they apologized for the lack of clarity by one of their sellers to get me to purchase their coverage. I call and talk to Tony in finance and he says, oh yeah, the spreen advantage ONLY will be covered through spreen honda. So if a powertrain failure occurs, I will have to have my car towed from northern california to southern california to get it fixed under their "spreen advantage" of extended warranty. STRAIGHT LIED TO MY FACE to make a sale. Now if you live in SoCal, no problem, bring your car to spreen and they will cover it (or so they say) but they told me I could take it anywhere and it will be covered up to 125,000miles or 10 years. all 4 sat their in the office with my question which I asked MULTIPLE times about having to drive my car back to Socal for the warranty coverage, and they said, NO WAY, you can take it anywhere "its the spreen advantage". SO UPSET. It is frustrating when you hear the term negatively about "used car salesmen". I am sure not all are bad. But I was pig poled by 4 of them. Straight lying to my face to make a deal. BTW I called an cancelled the extended warranty coverage they wanted me to buy so bad (2.5 hours of constantly waiting with a "new" guy coming in able to "work the numbers" and get it lower for me). I just wanted OUT so finally accepted and then immediately called Century who voided it before it even came across their desk. But I STILL, 2 months later, have not been refunded by spreen. Dont believe me? read the other 1 stars and see ALL the similarities. Wont happen to you? try again. They are there to sell cars, not make friends.

Best new vehicles purchase experience at Spreen Honda -- My existing and past vehicles were made by Honda and a couple other manufacturers; I decided to buy Honda this year when I need two new vehicles for my family transportation. After doing extensive research online, I submitted price inquiries to Truecar and Edmunds for new Honda CR-V 2012 LX/EX models. The best prices emailed to me came from Mr. Vu Tonthat, Internet Director at Spreen Honda in Loma Linda. His price quotes, for new Honda CR-V 2012, had been at least a thousand dollars lower than any other dealerships in LA and OC areas, which made me suspicious at first but motivated me to directly call his number to gauge, double check on prices and available inventory. Once I talked, verified and felt a potential good deal to save at least a thousand of dollars on a new Honda CR-V, I made a leap of faith to drive together with my family 60 miles away from home to Spreen Honda in Loma Linda on Sunday 03/04. When we got there, a knowledgeable salesperson, Robert Roberto, helped us out with test drive, vehicle color/model selection, and sale paperwork for a new Honda CR-V EX based on the exact price quoted in Vu Tonthat’s email to me two days earlier. The Internet price quote is only valid for 72 hours, so in order to buy at the quoted price, make sure to have the email printout with you or tell the salesperson about the price quote email, if you forget to bring the printout, so s/he can retrieve the email from Spreen Honda mail server. The finance manager, Derek, helped seal the deal with the sale contract signed, and I finally drove home the new Honda CR-V EX 2012, after spending about 3 hours at the dealership. It was the best new vehicle purchase experience I have ever had with the lowest price quoted honored, without any back and forth negotiation, great sale/finance services and no hassle of added vehicle options pressure. Feeling satisfied of my first Honda CR-V purchase on 03/04, I tried to contact Spreen Honda again for my second vehicle purchase this month. Per my request, Mr. Vu Tonthat emailed me the price quotes for new Honda CR-V 2012 as well as Honda Accord 2012, which were again the lowest prices in comparison to other dealerships quotes. After checking available inventory on the phone with Mr. Vu Tonthat, my family and I repeated the same 60-mile shopping trip to Loma Linda on Saturday 04/07. Another knowledgeable salesperson, Mr. John Lopez, helped us out with test drive of new Honda, vehicle model selection and sale paperwork of another new Honda CR-V 2012 EX model based on the same price quoted from Vu Tonthat’s emailed to me a day earlier. However due to an unexpected mistake in sales inventory, the black Honda CR-V EX I had selected was no longer available on site for purchase. Spreen Honda’s sale staff and management apologized for the mistake and promised to trade their in-stock vehicle with another nearby dealership for the same Honda CR-V EX model having the black color of my choice. The finance manager, Ms. Stephanie Smith, processed the sale contract via electronically transaction to my credit union for financing. We had to wait a little bit longer this time for the traded vehicle and I finally drove it home that evening. My new vehicle shopping at Spreen Honda this month was probably my second best purchase experience due to a longer wait for vehicle trade, but by the end of that day I was very happy to get the same good deal I had previously had last month and satisfied by the courteous treatment from the dealership staff/management.

On Friday 9/26/2014, my wife and I visited Spreen Honda at Loma Linda to see a Camry XLE 2012. At the beginning we tried to obtain a discount because we will be paying in cash not financing. The salesman Oscar refused and tried to convince us the price is good giving the car’s features. Moreover, he printed out a papers indicating that is the cheapest Camry XLE in 500-mile radius, and we believed him. Before purchasing the car I have noticed that the car has LE letters only, and when I asked him about it Oscar told me that the “X” might fell down, I believed him giving the reputation of a big car company like Honda. At that time I knew XLE is the best type because of that I didn’t waste my time to know all the features for it. After purchasing the car I discovered that the car is indeed an LE not an XLE. When I informed the salesman Oscar he didn’t seem concerned as if it is a minor mistake. After that, I have met the sales manager Tony he informed me that the car is indeed an XLE, and if the full features are not included in the car, it is the mistake of the original company (Toyota) not theirs. He told me that he is accountable to whatever features in the ad. He printed out papers presenting the features of the car. I noticed in one of those papers that the car has Fog Lamp while it doesn’t and he told me we will install it for you. Otherwise I can return the car and pay the mile difference if the owner accept that. However, I went to Toyota, they informed me that the car is LE not XLE and they print a paper to prove that from common website and told me this website all the dealers familiar with. When I went to home and read all the papers that Tony printed out I noticed that one of them contain many features besides the Fog Light, which are not in the car like Dual Power Seats- Moon Roof- Alloy Wheels. I returned to Tony and told him about the missing features and asked him to add all the features, as he promised. He offered me to return the car and they will give me $1000 and I refused. He barrowed the paper from me, which contain all the missing features, to show it to the owner Jeff Spreen. Then he and the owner came to me and they did not apologize for the mistake and we did not reach an agreement because I asked them to give me the difference in Kelly Blue Book. When I asked Tony to return the paper he denied that he took anything from me. Furthermore, the owner said that the paper belong to them. I told them that they can keep it because I already have a copy, they were angry and the owner told me that I should be ashamed of myself!! Also, I heard other story from my friend they told him we just accept cash only and he agreed with them to install new tires then they tried to fooled him by finishing the paper works before they replace the tires. He insist to do it first then they told him the manager refused that.

After a very long and frustrating day of back and forth with another manager, Tony Lopez was able to work with the financing and give me just what I needed. I appreciated the salesman and woman Gabriel Marquez and Alysa Padilla. They were both very professional and extremely helpful. Just when they thought they were done with me, I would send them back to the manager. I know that I had a very specific goal to meet before I could purchase the car and Gabriel really went above and beyond to make sure this could work for me. Even at the end of the process there was something missing from the car that I was very unhappy with, Tony and Gabriel made it right. I am so happy with my purchase and I truly appreciated all that Gabriel and Tony did to make this work for me. I will refer my friends and family to them in the future. As long as they deal with Tony from the beginning. I also wanted to thank Alysa for coming right out to help me and really helped me to narrow down the choices. She listened to what I wanted and was not pushy at all. I really appreciated her help as well. I also wanted to note that when it was time to sign the paperwork, it was just as they said it would be. Nothing was hidden and it was a very smooth process. Very refreshing! I will avoid working with Matt as the manager. My experience would have been so much easier if I dealt with Tony from the beginning. Thanks so much to Gabriel for being the go between and not letting me go until we could make it work. I know how hard you worked on this deal. Thanks again!

I just purchased my new car from spreen honda! I have to tell you guys my credit score is in the 400s due to a recent bankruptcy. Not only was on the market to establish some good credit history now but my husbands car had just broken down so we were in desperate need of a car. I has secured my lender prior to coming to Spreen Honda because I knew with my credit history and the bk that it would be hard to finance with a major dealership. So I was approved for capital one and if you all dont know capital one issues you a blank check to purchase a car of your choice. Now capital one has very strict brackets and limitations and over a 1000 dealers working with them. But i searched high and low and Spreen Honda was the only dealership that had quality cars and excellent pricing. No joke! Bobby was my sales me hes so young and lively! made me feel very comfortable and respected all my wishes. I was very antsy about having my credit ran because I did not want any more inquiries. It took me a week to decide on a car and I finally chose a 2012 focus. Darin was my 2nd salesman he is truly a great guy made me feel like family! And the finance manager Todd was the sweetest and just was relating to my situation and hes also very smart gave me some wise advice for the future. They let me do a partial down payment of $600 so i could drive my car off the lot that day! Love you guys at Spreen Honda!!!!!!!
